Meet Vallery,

I grew up between a garden and the sea, where I learned that food is more than nourishment. It is connection, care and knowing where it comes from.

Cooking on sailing boats changed everything.

In compact galley kitchens, with no steady supply chain, I learned to cook resourcefully and intentionally. But I also learned to ask: Who grew this? How did it get here and is it nutritious? Was it fair?

Over the years, I've cooked for wellness sailing trips, catering companies, worked across gastronomy, cultural events, and mental health, and studied social sciences to understand the deeper connections between food, people, and health.

With Wave Food I bring these pieces together. I share Mediterranean meals, mindful planning, and the joy of eating well as a way to care for both body and mind.

This is cooking with intention. For people who believe food should be honest, sustainable, and deeply connected to its origins.

Why Conscious Sourcing?

Because the story behind your food matters. When we know who grew our vegetables, caught our fish, or made our cheeses, and that they were treated fairly, food tastes different. It connects us to something bigger than ourselves.

I'm not perfect, and I'm still learning. But I'm committed to building relationships with producers who share these values, asking hard questions about supply chains, and making choices that honor people and planet.

If this resonates with you, I'd love to cook for your event or cook with you together, share my recipes, or welcome you aboard a sailing trip where we explore these ideas together.
